The slings and arrows of this outrageous fortune

People I am a 9 month old house officer. It's been going well on the
shore but I am proposed with the calamity To locum or not to locum.
I would compare locuming to casual sex. It's a generational thing.
Our parents come from the era where everyone was married by age 25,
settled down and ready to make some kids. But our generation is much
different. Like our parents look askance at the prospects of casual
sex. So do our consultants not going into fulltime work. Fulltime
work is like a long term relationship. Locuming is like casual sex.
So the desire to work is like the desire to shag. Casual sex aka
locuming is great when you need to scratch an itch but the full time
work has an end game and will contribute to the long term goal of
consultancy. Just as the long term relationship will contribute to
that end goal of marriage and kids.
