I am a MAS member and have been happy with service since joining in 2nd year! What I would like to see more of in the blogs is analysis and information on where I should be investing some of my money. I have super, but I'm also interested in other investment opportunities - especially in today's climate. Would also be good to know what events MAS is holding in the different regions around NZ.

MAS is great, they have supported me as a student and now as RMO.

What more can MAS do for me? Im not sure. I already have all my bases covered with Kiwisaver, Income protection, indemnity insurance, car insurance. I dont have a need for loans at the moment. I feel I am getting the most from MAS as it stands.

To give me more value, MAS needs to move into other areas where I need help. eg.
- investing advice. I often talk to colleagues and they tell me exciting things they are doing with their money. I want a 'professional' to give me advice on what the best options are out their for investing. I dont want the typical advice that is covered by hundreds of clauses etc - I want real genuine straight forward advice like my father would give me.

- tax advice - tell me how I can manipulate the system to best support me. Lots of people talk about setting up companies for locuming work etc, but when I try and find some concrete information, it is nowhere to be found.

- tell me what the senior docs are doing with their money. MAS must have heaps of senior members - how are they using their money to invest etc.

I concur with above, MAS have got me covered with insurance, Kiwisaver etc....I am very pleased with the products and services. In terms of what MAS can offer, in the past there were a number of investment and financial advice seminars. Are these still offered? I am probably in a better position now to follow the advice from them than I was as a student.

MAS is generally excellent and I must say that I'm impressed that they are taking this active step to further improve their service.

I agree with most of what has been raised already. A lot of the stuff that was offered to us as students in terms of info sessions etc is more helpful to me at this stage of my life. It is important that situations change and that regular seminars are important so that we are getting relevant, up-to-date advice that we can match / apply to our current situation.

The opportunity to meet one on one with advisors is really important. I really value personalised service, so anything that promotes or sustains this is a big plus in my books.

I think that most doctors / health professionals are generally busy people who often don't have time or energy to really think about financial matters. Initiatives that are communicated in clear terms that also allow us to be informed as efficiently as possible are always welcome!
